Panthers Flying High, Eliminate the Bolts in Five

The Florida Panthers eliminated the Tampa Bay Lightning in game five of their first round series.

Aleksander Barkov and Carter Verhaeghe both scored twice as the Panthers won 6-1 to move on to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Lightning had eliminated his Florida Panthers from the Stanley Cup playoffs in each of their previous three meetings.

"At some point you knew you were going to have them again," Barkov said, "and you've got to be able to get over that hump, and we did it this year."

The Cats will play the winner of the Boston Toronto series. Bruins up 3-1 in the series and could advance with a win tonight.
